About

J.E. Turnbo was raised in a small town in Michigan, which had its own collection of eerie urban legends. His passion for writing the bizarre began at an early age after watching A Nightmare on Elm Street for the first time. Later, during the 80s and 90s, he served as an Army veteran, spending five years abroad pursuing bad guys as a Military Police officer. Shortly thereafter, he dedicated another ten years in a civilian role, going after a different kind of bad guy.

Since then, he constantly refines his storytelling skills by paying more attention to... the voices in his head, many of which have quite unsettling tales.

At present, Detective Anthony Carver enjoys whispering intriguing (sometimes disturbing) details about the next installment in his series. Naturally, there is some competition from those who dwell in the realm of the short story, eager to share their own little misgivings.

Currently, he resides in northern Indiana with his wife and two dogs (oh, and the cat), where he spends nine months of the year following his favorite hockey team. Go Avs!
